I was diagnosed with advanced stage prostate cancer in 1993, and have used a combination of prescription drugs as my only medical treatment. They have kept the cancer temporarily under control, but the side effects are significant and I worry that they may be doing as much long term damage as short term good. It has been over a year now since Alexander shared the Young Living Essential Oils with Karen and I, and it was obvious from the first day that they were different than any of the dozens of ideas and products that I had tried before. Recently I stopped taking the drugs and started a more serious program using four of the oils (including Frankincense) and after only two weeks a blood test showed that the tumor growth had slowed significantly. "Some time ago, Frank mentioned in passing that his eyes had gotten better since he started using essential oils. Well, so have mine. I started using oils in June, and over the last several weeks, I've noticed that my eyesight has gotten gradually better and better. In fact, for reading and computer work, I now see much better without my glasses than with them. I still need glasses for extended long distance vision, but I can drive to the grocery store just fine without them.

So, I'm going to have to go and have my eye glass prescription changed, but I've been holding off on it as long as possible, wondering when the improvement is going to end. If I get new glasses now, it could be that the new ones might be too strong for me in just a few months.

"In 1993 a rash appeared on my forehead a couple days after using a friend's welding helmet - I rubbed Cortisone salve on it and went around with a greasy forehead for 2-3 days every 2-3 weeks. I went to a dermatologist after a year of this and he put me on Tetracycline, which I used for two years. Yes, the chemicals in Tetracycline diminished the rash, and I had a down to one capsule every day and a half, but the residues from all the toxic chemicals we take go directly to the colon and spleen, where they stay for the rest of our lives, building anti-immunities, and polluting the liver. I looked in the Introduction booklet for all the oils that had rash listed in them and decided on Bergamot, which also has taken care of my oily complexion. Since September 27, 1996, the first day I started with it, I have been off the Tetracycline.

I also had a construction related rash on a couple fingers, and had been rubbing Fluocinonide cream on it whenever it broke out. Even though the cream worked (after 3-4 days of use), I was never sure of the "ingredients." I tried Lavender Oil and my fingers cleared up within two (2) days and so far has stayed clear!

"For sometime my Mother's legs from the knee down has been numb and she has no feeling in them at all. I tried to get her to check it out but my father was very ill and she said I'll wait. My father past way in April and when we went home I took my oils and I started my mother on the oils for her legs. She also had problems with her feet being cold all of the time. A month ago I was helping my son move some railroad ties. I had balanced one tie up against another and it didn't stay in place and it fell on my Big toe. I thought I'd die. When we did start pulling again the quills came out much easier.
