Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) supports the circulatory system, urinary tract, and liver function.*
It has relaxing and calming effects. The genus name, Solidago, comes from the Latin solide, which
means "to make whole."
Goldenrod has an approximate ORAC of 619,026 (TE/L).
TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
How to use: For dietary or topical use.
When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz.
of liquid such as soy or rice milk.
Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult
your physician. Dilution recommended for both topical and internal use.
Dilute before using on sensitive areas such as the face, neck, genital
area, etc. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid using on infants and very small children.

Traditional Uses: The genus name, solidago, comes from the Latin solide, which
means ‘to make whole’. During the Boston Tea Party, when English tea was dumped into
Boston Harbor, Colonists drank Goldenrod tea instead, which gave it the nickname ‘Liberty Tea’.
Indications: Arthritis, asthma, candida, colds, cough, and hypertension.
Other Uses: Goldenrod helps to thin mucus secretions and relieve congested mucus.
Goldenrod promotes urination, cleans the kidneys, reduces inflammation and prevents infection.
Application: Diffuse or apply topically on location.
May be added to food or soy/rice milk as a dietary supplement.
Has been used as a wash or compress for wounds, headaches and rheumatism,
and as a gargle for sore throat, laryngitis and thrush.
