Our skin is our armor and the largest absorbent organ of the body. Protecting its environment
is most important. Many chemical molecules are too large to absorb and lay on the surface of
the skin, causing irritation, resulting in itching:
Rashes, blemishes, flaky and dry skin, dandruff, and allergies.
Many skin conditions may be related to the liver. So, it may be necessary to cleanse, stimulate, and condition the liver and cleanse the colon for 30 to 90 days before the skin begins to improve.
Skin abscesses are small pockets of pus that collect under the skin. They are usually caused by a bacterial or fungal infection.
Essential oils are soluble with the lipids in the skin and are easily absorbed.
A number of essential oils may help reduce inflammation and combat infection.
Itching (or dermatitis) can be due to allergies, damaged liver function,
allergies, or over exposure to chemicals or sunlight. Many skin problems are a result
of a toxic liver. It is therefore, extremely important to cleanse the liver and blood
and make certain that the elimination system is working properly.
Eczema and dermatitis are both inflammations of the skin and
are most often due to allergies, but also can be a sign of liver disease.
Dermatitis usually results from external factors, such as sunburn or contact
with poison ivy, metals (wristwatch, earrings, jewelry, etc.). Skin becomes red,
flaky and itchy, small blisters may form and if broken by scratching, can become infected.
- Lavender, juniper, ledum, cistus, hystrix, apium graveolens, and cistus.
- Lavender with Roman or German chamomile, helichrysum, geranium, rosewood, patchouly, sage, or thyme.
Oils for treating dermatitis and eczema are probably best if
- Lavender with Purification, Melrose, Sensation, or Gentle Baby.
applied when diluted in V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base.
- Life 5, Cleansing Trio, JuvaTone, Rehemogen, and Rose Ointment.
Eczema usually results from internal factors, such as irritant chemicals,
soaps and shampoos, allergy to wheat (gluten), etc. In both dermatitis and eczema,
skin becomes red, flaky and itchy, small blisters may form and if broken by scratching,
can become infected.
Psoriasis is a non-infectious skin disorder that is marked by skin lesions
that can occur in limited areas (such as the scalp) or that can cover up to 80-90
percent of the body. The overly rapid growth of skin cells is the primary cause of
the lesions associated with psoriasis. In some cases, skin cells grow four times
faster than normal, resulting in the formation of silvery layers that flake off.
Eczema & Psoriasis Recipe:
Add to Rose Ointment or body lotion and apply on affected area.
- 2 drops patchouly
- 2 drops Roman chamomile
- 2 drops lavender
- 2 drops Melrose
Supplements: Cleansing Trio, AlkaLime, JuvaTone, Sulfurzyme, and Rehemogen.
Topical Use: Tender Tush Ointment.
Use JuvaTone at least 120 days. To soften cracking skin, cover with Rose Ointment.
Fungus/Yeast/Candida feed on decomposing or dead tissues. They exist everywhere: inside our stomachs,
on our skin, and out on the lawn. When kept under control, the yeast and fungi populating our
bodies are harmless and digest what our bodies cannot or do not use.
When we feed the naturally-occurring fungi in our bodies too many acidash foods, such as sugar,
animal proteins, and dairy products, the fungal populations grow out of control. This condition
is known as systemic candidiasis and is marked by fungi invading the blood, gastrointestinal tract, and tissues.
Fungal cultures like candida excrete large amounts of poisons called mycotoxins as part of their life cycles. These poisons must be detoxified by the liver and immune system. Eventually they can wreak enormous damage on the tissues and organs and are believed to be an aggravating factor in many degenerative diseases, such as cancer, arteriosclerosis, and diabetes. Insufficient intake minerals and trace minerals like magnesium, potassium, and zinc may also stimulate candida and fungal overgrowth in the body.
Fungus/Yeast/Candida Recipe 1:
- 3 drops rosemary
- 6 drops lavender
- Mix with ½ to 1 ounce of V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base
Fungus/Yeast/Candida Recipe 2:
10 drops patchouly
4 drops lavender
2 drops blue chamomile
5 drops lemon
Mix with ½ to 1 ounce of V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base
How Essential Oils Help the Skin
- Rejuvenate and heal skin: Rosewood
- Prevent and retard wrinkles: Sage, lavender, spikenard, myrrh
- Regenerate the skin: Geranium, helichrysum, spikenard
- Restore skin elasticity Rosewood, lavender, Ylang ylang with lavender
- Combat premature aging of the skin: Apply frankincense, helichrysum or
patchouly on location, neat or diluted in 1 oz. V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil
Base (depending on skin sensitivity).
Vaginal yeast infections are usually caused from overgrowth of fungi like Candida
albicans. These naturally-occurring intestinal yeast and fungi are normally kept under
control by the immune system, but when excess sucrose is consumed or antibiotics are used,
these organisms convert from relatively harmless yeast into an invasive, harmful fungus
that secretes toxins as part of its life cycle.
Vaginal yeast infections are just one symptom of systemic fungal infestation. While the yeast infection can be treated locally, the underlying problem of systemic candidiasis may still remain unless specific dietary and health practices are used.
Essential oils like melaleuca have been documented to have highly antifungal activity. Outstanding results have been obtained against vaginal yeast infections using them in douches. Equally excellent results have been achieved by inserting a capsule of Royaldophilus into the vagina after douching. Also empty out (2) acidophilus capsules into a small bowl with a tablespoon of water - just enought to make a paste. Apply vaginally. This stops the itch almost immediately.
Vaginal Yeast Recipe 1:
- 1 drop bergamot
- 1 drop lavender
- 2 drops melaleuca
- 7 drops Purification
- 2 drops frankincense
- 2 drops juniper
- 2 drops lavender
- 2 drops melaleuca
Mix in 1-2 Tbsp. V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base and
apply as a douche or vaginal retention implant every night.
- 12 drops melaleuca
- 12 drops Purification
- 12 drops juniper
Dilute in 1-2 oz. V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base and massage
over entire body. Massage and rub on bottom of feet once a day.
- 10 drops cinnamon
- 10 drops clove
- 10 drops melaleuca
Using Raindrop Technique to Purge Pathogenic Fungi
Pathogenic microorganisms have a tendency to hibernate along the spinal cord
and in the lymphatic system. The body has the ability to hold them in a suspended
state for long periods of time. When the immune system becomes compromised from stress,
fatigue or other factors, they can be released and manifest illness and disease.
Oregano, thyme, or hyssop along the spine using Raindrop Technique may help to
drive the dormant fungi out of the spinal fluid.
Ringworm fungus infects the skin causing scaly round itchy patches.
Using antifungal essential oils while bathing or showering is especially
important because fungal infections thrive in moist, warm environments. Essential oils
like melaleuca or Melrose can easily be added to bath salts or Epsom salts to combat
Ringworm is infectious and can be spread from an animal or human host alike. Skin candida is a fungal infection that can erupt almost anywhere on the skin. It shows up in various places, such as behind the knees, inside the elbows, behind the ears, on temple area, and between the breasts.
Ringworm Recipe 1:
- 3 drops melaleuca
- 3 drops spearmint
- 1 drop peppermint Recipe 2:
- 2 drops tansy
- 10 drops melaleuca
- 1 drop oregano
- 2 drops patchouly
- Apply undiluted on location or mix 2-3 drops in 1 tsp. V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base and layer on Rose Ointment.
Apply to spinal Vita Flex points on the feet and hands.
In severe cases, use 35 percent food-grade hydrogen peroxide to clean infected areas before applying Melrose and Rose Ointment. Saturate gauze with oils and wrap infected area.
